BTEC to Sponsor ASTM E44.25 Heat Metering Biomass Application Meeting April 3

The heat metering working group will gather feedback from the biomass thermal industry during the Northeast Biomass Heating Expo

The Biomass Thermal Energy Council (BTEC) is proud to announce it will sponsor a key meeting of the ASTM E44.25 Heat Metering subcommittee meeting to explore the inclusion and application of biomass technologies in E44.25 standards activities. The open meeting will be held in conjunction with the Northeast Biomass Heating Expo in Saratoga Springs, NY on April 3, 2013 from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

The ASTM E44.25 task group session is designed to incorporate feedback from the biomass thermal industry on a consensus heat metering standard. The session on April 3 will allow heat metering stakeholders to engage in the existing effort toward a common standard or explore the possibility of a parallel standards effort.

"This meeting provides a great opportunity for stakeholder input on a key industry development," said Joseph Seymour, BTEC Executive Director, "as no heat metering standard would be complete without the input of the biomass thermal industry."
