Cut Down Load Securing Time by 30 to 40 Percent With Quick Winch Tie Downs

The traditional method of tying down cargo loads with simple nylon strapping has become a thing of the past with the successful development of Quick Winch's patent-pending Load Securing Technology Product Line-Up.

“Using the speed of the ratcheting process, and greater applied torque in confined work spaces than other industries have been using for decades, our drivers and designers have developed a series of retrofit products for either portable or permanent installation on the winches found throughout the trucking industry,” explains Quick Winch Co-Owner, Kathy Kelly.

The products have been designed for use in a full range of applications including lumber, steel, agriculture, concrete, and building materials. A time savings study conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Stout has shown that tightening ten loads using a standard winch bar would take up to six minutes, but when using a Quick Winch Mega-Tork Ratchet, tightening ten loads would take half the time, or, 3.33 minutes at just 20 seconds a load.

“Our products let owners and operators convert standard winches into ratchet driven winches in a matter of minutes and at a cost that is quickly recovered by the reduced time it takes to secure the load and hit the road every other time thereafter,” says Kelly.

The set-up is simple too. The original Portable Drive is inserted into the drive side of most standard winches and is secured in place by the insert pin that fits through a drive hole in the winch and can easily and quickly be moved from winch to winch when securing a load. Once this simple adapter is secured, the standard winch is now ready for use with the Quick Winch 3/4” Mega Tork Ratchet / Winch Bar.
