Laser Technology, Inc. to Host Webinars for Continuing Forestry Education Credits

Laser Technology, Inc. (LTI) is announcing its schedule for a 3-part webinar series where all attendees can earn up to 3.0 hours of Continuing Forestry Education (CFE) credits through the Society of American Foresters. The webinars will cover specific details on how to take reliable field measurements from tree heights to boundary surveying. Participants will gain a key understanding of available technology and learn efficient measurement techniques. Each hour-long webinar will qualify for 1.0 hour of category 1-CF credits. The following is a brief description as to what subject matters will be addressed:

GIS/Forestry - Laser Mapping - May 23,2012 at 9:00-10:00 am (MST)
This session will cover the latest in both laser and compass measurement technology. Learn how to integrate your collected field data into LaserGIS® for ArcPad® and how easy it can be to transfer into a GIS.

Tree Hypsometry – Vegetation Management - May 31, 2012 at 9:00-10:00 am (MST)
Discover the proper method for measuring a tree height and how to quickly verify danger trees. This session goes into the steps it takes to be efficient in determining vegetation clearances.

Timber Cruising – In/Out Sampling & Diameters - June 19, 2012 at 9:00-10:00 am (MST)
Learn how to make quick and accurate percent slope measurements and the best method for taking reliable diameters. See how new technology can make all the difference in timber cruising.
