Menominee Saw Purchases RAZORBACK Saw Line From Pallet Repair Systems

In a continuing effort to improve services, Menominee Saw & Supply Company in Michigan has purchased the Razorback pallet disassembly band saw blade line from Pallet Repair Systems. Menominee Saw will continue to supply quality saw blades to the pallet industry.

"We have always strived to provide quality products at a fair price to the wood cutting industry," says company owner, Ben Mroz. "With the growing green movement, we feel the pallet recycling business is one of the emerging markets. The opportunity came up to purchase the Razorback line and we felt it would be a good fit with the established band saw business we already have.”

Market Researchers, Freedonia Group, state that US demand for pallets will reach 1.5 billion units in 2012. Pallets made from wood will remain dominant, while plastic pallets will grow the fastest based on their durability, ease of cleaning and recyclability. Manufacturing will continue as the largest market, but will be outpaced by providers of warehousing and other storage services.
