Plasma-Welded Menominee Saws Are Built to High Standards
With over 100 years of experience manufacturing wood cutting band blades in North America, Menominee Saw & Supply Company ensures every blade is cut using computer numeric controlled (CNC) sharpeners. This technology means from tooth-to-tooth and from saw-to-saw, each Menominee blade is built to the same high level of standards. Every Menominee saw is manufactured using Uddelom steel and is plasma-welded to insure each one has the flattest and most consistent weld in the industry. Saws run flat against a quiet and steady guide that does not rattle.
“We can supply you with saws made with one of our time-tested standard tooth shapes, or we can design a custom tooth based on your particular needs,” says the owner of Menominee Saw & Supply Company, Ben Mroz. “The advantages of using plasma welding to manufacture our saws cannot be understated. Plasma welding allows a fully automated computer-controlled welding process that offers more consistent welds from edge to edge, more consistent welds from saw to saw, and less stress and less distortion of the saw in the weld area.” Mroz adds.
Menominee saws range from 3-inch to 8-inch in width. Swaged tooth or Stellite options – a cobalt-chromium alloy designed for wear resistance – are also available. About Menominee Saw & Supply Co.
Menominee Saw & Supply Co. supplies equipment, products, and services to the logging, sawmill, and pallet manufacturing industries. Menominee was first established in 1897 as the saw filing facility for the Wells Lumber Company located in the heart of hardwood country in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. As the lumber industry grew in the northern Great Lakes area, a need for saw filing services and sawmill supplies became more prevalent. Menominee Saw & Supply continues to fill that need.
