Trees For Tomorrow Announces 2012 Special Events
Mark your calendars! Trees For Tomorrow (TFT) announces its 2012 special events open to the public.
On Saturday, April 14 from 1-3:30 p.m., “Trees” will be hosting the 3rd Annual Spring Celebration. Join us for an afternoon of “Fun-tacular” events including Cookie Decorating, Easter Basket Weaving, Face Painting, Picture with the Easter Bunny, and Easter Egg Hunt. Apollo, the Red-tailed Hawk, and Orion, the Great Horned Owl, will be making a special appearance along with other TFT critters. Free family fun!
FORE! Trees For Tomorrow will host the 10th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing at the Eagle River Golf Course on Friday, June 1. Join us for 18 holes of golf that includes breakfast snacks, buffet lunch, raffles, betting holes and contests. Shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds from the event are used to assist students attending a natural resources education workshop at TFT.
The Cranberry Quilters will present Return to A Walk In The Northwoods Quilt Show scheduled for Saturday, July 21, from 10 am-4 pm. Admission is $5.00. Quilts will be showcased among the trees as you stroll the serene paths on Trees For Tomorrow’s campus. Show features will include a silent auction, quilting demonstrations, quilt raffle, door prizes, quilt shop vendors, local wood carver demonstrations, and refreshments available for purchase. Lucille Hegge will be our "featured" quilter, and TFT staff will provide free family activities.
Saturday, August 4, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Trees For Tomorrow and Partners in Forestry invite you to attend the 2nd Annual Forest Fest – A Celebration of All the Forest Has to Offer! So much is packed into one day: logging equipment, forest tours, chainsaw carvers, woodturners, trappers, timbersports, artisans and crafters, children’s activities, organizations, horse-drawn wagon rides, live entertainment, and food. There is something for everyone at this free family event! To participate in Forest Fest as a vendor, demonstrator or educator, please contact Sean at 715.479.6456, ext. 221.

Trees For Tomorrow, the only accredited natural resources specialty school in Wisconsin, is located on nearly 40 acres in Eagle River. Each year Trees For Tomorrow serves more than 5,000 students from 100 different schools from the Great Lakes Region with natural resources education workshops. Each workshop combines outdoor recreation with natural resources education. This life-changing experience merges critical thinking, cooperative learning, group decision-making and conflict resolution helping students develop into environmental leaders and our future land stewards.
