Software Systems

Yard Boss

Yard Boss is a complete raw material supply chain management /accounting system for fiber and non-fiber commodities in the forest industry including logs, chips, residuals and virtually any other commodity inbound or outbound that crosses the Scalehouse and is weighed. The contract management system will manage all the complexities and activities needed to track, procure and sell the above commodities. Vendor pay for procurement is an automated process. Log yard inventory can be managed using a variety of methods to match the physical method used by the customer. Reporting is done through a module of Yard Boss called Report Boss, delivering reports to users in a variety of familiar methods such as Crystal Reports and Microsoft Excel.

Scale Boss

Scale Boss is the mate to Yard Boss for collecting scale data at the scale location. Contract data from Yard Boss is replicated to Scale Boss to be available for validation. Load data on scaled loads replicates back to Yard Boss for pricing, payment and reporting. Scale Boss interfaces directly with the weigh scale to obtain weights. By having its own local database, Scale Boss can continue to process loads even if the network is down. The touch screen interface and interaction with bar-coding makes unattended scales a possibility. Scale Boss can also interface with traffic control systems, further increasing security.

TAGASIS AVL

TAGASIS AVL is a logistics vehicle tracking system specifically geared to the forest industry. The system monitors speed and position of vehicles used for the fiber haul in accordance with mill safety programs as well as governmental regulations. TAGASIS AVL differs from many other AVL systems in three key areas.

First, the system monitors speed by zone on any road that shape files and speed information are available for. Speeds are differentiated according to the regulated speed for a particular road. Speed violations are reported in easy to use, internet based reports.

Second, TAGASIS AVL has built in cycle time analysis tools and reporting capabilities which can be viewed and used by mills and contractors to monitor the efficiency of the log haul activities. Time in yard, time in block and travel time are among the variables that are possible to see.

Third, TAGASIS AVL does not require cell or satellite contracts to communicate. When the truck comes to the Scalehouse or yard, a short range radio (WiFi) downloads the trip information to the online database.

TAGASIS AVL for Graders and CATS

A Variation of the system - TAGASIS AVL for Graders and CATS operates as a remote supervisor - monitoring activities such as contractor machines used in road building.

Custody Manager

Custody Manager is an ALDATA's Electronic Trip Ticketing system which also helps companies with their Chain-of-Custody requirements for forest certification programs.

Based in the loader, the system is used to produce trip tickets for each load leaving the block. The system produces a bar-coded trip ticket which accompanies the truck back to the Scalehouse. Simultaneously as the ticket is being printed, an electronic copy of the ticket is sent via satellite to the company/mill office. Notification of a load arrives at the office before the truck arrives at the Scalehouse.
