York Students Learn about Forestry, Its Benefits to Us All

Imagine a classroom in the woods, where you can dangle high up in a tree or witness how a saw mill operates. 

Through the Forestry Connects program, 50 students from across York Region recently had the chance to join in this unique outdoor education experience.

On Nov. 2, high school students from across the region gathered at The Bill Fisch Forest Stewardship and Education Centre, learning about tree identification, seed collection, forestry tools, tree climbing and more. read more >>
