Joel Lattimer is among more than a hundred laid off workers from Kenora’s sawmill. Last week, he was excited to help open a new job centre on Matheson Street.

“It’s exciting. It’s been a lot of work. Obviously the COVID slowed it all down. Hopefully, it’ll help a lot of people,” he said.

“There’s skilled trades. There’s security. There’s different ones. Obviously, the mill opening back up would be the ideal,” he emphasized.
